Serena is a first-generation college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree from Walsh University and served in the Ohio Army National Guard for 6 years as a Human Resource Specialist. She is certified in both diversity & equity in the workplace along with a certification in social justice. Serena is a contract consultant with an equity firm in Cleveland called Enlightened Solutions where she helps lead all training curriculums for clients. She serves on the YMCA Meyers Lake advisory board, the board for Young Christian Professionals a justice involved advocacy program and she continues advocacy work with the American Heart Association after serving on the board for GO RED for Women 2021. Serena continues to use her voice to speak up for those who have gone unheard, not because they are voiceless, but because they have been silenced. She is an innovative self-starter, organizational leader and an avid advocate for racial justice & health equity.
