Our Initiatives

Incidence of crime is highly correlated to poverty.

Instead of investing in jails/prisons, let's invest in dreams, skills, housing, and employment!

We are currently seeking donors/funding, volunteers, and partnerships to enhance the development our initiatives.

Dollar Bill in Jar
Market Analysis

Our participants have the opportunity to complete a financial empowerment course to enhance their knowledge about how money works and how to make it work for them.

We are seeking sponsors/donors willing to partner in an investment match program.  The women engaging in our program will work to earn a targeted amount of $250.  We are looking for sponsors/donors willing to match their efforts at $250 in order to make their first investment.  The goal of this investment is create a launch pad for their children to break the cycle of poverty and lack.  If the participant doesn't have children, they will be investing in their retirement.  An agreement will be signed that this investment must remain for a designated amount of time and a commitment to make regular contributions will be encouraged.

Continuum of Housing Services

Screen Shot 2022-05-24 at 11.10.37 AM.png

Another initiative is to establish a wellness village that encompasses a housing continuum that grows with the women that we serve.  Having stability and support helps to create an environment where women can thrive, not just survive.  Our goal is to have a continuum of housing that ranges from fully supported to independent.  Services at each level will be structured to prepare the women for the next stage in the continuum.

We will establish partnerships that will assist the women in gaining skills to build and maintain their housing, as well as, contribute to revitalizing their community.  We aspire to have the women engage in paid trade training through revitalization programs in our community, then participate in building and/or rehabbing housing that will be available for their transition through the housing continuum.

In order to make this happen we will be in pursuit of partnerships, funding, and sponsors/donors for skill training, supervision, building concept development, project management, and equipment.
